Disciples on the Journey

Disciples on the Journey is a process that integrates the Sunday liturgies, small faith-sharing groups, catechesis, family activities, planning and follow up activities into a coherent parish-wide experience of evangelization. The program fosters spiritual renewal and places the missionary dimension at the heart of the community of faith, thus transforming it from within. This program was initiated throughout the Diocese of Sacramento in the year 2001 and Sacred Heart Parish is proud to be part of this venture.

Catholics Come Home

Inviting Catholics Home is a six-week support program that is aimed at helping Catholics return to the Church. The program strives to help participants move beyond a bad experience, a loss of interest, a feeling of anger, or a misunderstanding. It is a non-judgmental program designed to respect the feelings of each participant and to help all participants understand that they are not alone.

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Invitation for Adults)

[Rita Spillane 452-4830] Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation, inactive Catholics and people who are interested in becoming Catholic are welcome to a series of classes on the Catholic faith. Instruction includes discussions on God, mortality, the Bible, the Mass, the Church, prayers, heaven, the sacraments, and other life-giving topics.
